
Timothy Walsh
Tim Walsh was co-founder and former CEO of CCMP Capital Advisors (“CCMP”). Beginning his career in private equity at Chase Manhattan Bank in the 1980s, Tim became a partner in the firm’s private equity business, Chase Capital Partners (later J.P. Morgan Partners). JPMP grew to become one of the largest bank affiliated private equity firms in the industry.
In 2006, Tim was part of the JPMP leadership team which formed CCMP. Raising $3.4 billion for its inaugural fund, CCMP became known for its disciplined investment strategy, industry focus and ”hands on” operating model. Tim became President and COO of CCMP in 2015 and soon after, was appointed CEO.
During his 30+ years with CCMP and its predecessors, in partnership with his teammates and management team partners, Tim played a leadership role in scores of investments including Harris Chemicals, PQ Corp, Klockner Pentaplast, Kraton Polymers, Generac Power Systems, Milacron, Ecovyst, Hayward Pool among others.
Stepping down as CEO & President of CCMP in 2022, Tim remains active at the firm as a Managing Director and member of CCMP’s Investment Committee. Tim is also a member of CCMP Growth’s Investment Committee Advisory Board. In 2020, Tim formed WPEP to invest the assets of Tim Walsh and his family across a range of alternative assets.
